Mark "The Skipper" Noble
What (WHAT) a game from the skipper today. Absolutely immense and sent in a ball any of the worlds best wingers would be proud of.

If only his corners were struck like that!

Re: Mark "The Skipper" Noble
He played ok Joe his best game for a while but I wouldn't go as far as "immense" it's not as if he runs games like Lanzini which is what we should occasionally expect from our centre mids

Re: Mark "The Skipper" Noble
Did today though Northy, even when Lanzini was on the pitch.

Compare him to their equivalent today, Lucas. Liverpool would have loved someone like Nobes

Re: Mark "The Skipper" Noble
He was superb. I think trying to compare what he does to what Lanzini does is a bit strange, but either way he had an excellent game.

I thought he was immense especially second half

Re: Mark "The Skipper" Noble
On the contrary, I'd say he runs a lot of our best games.

You need players like Noble in your side, which is why for a strong of mangers he has been one of the first names on the sheet.

Liverpool were almost totally lacking anyone of any personality on the pitch.

Good teams have people like noble on the pitch.

Buster I didn't compare mate just saying that for me He doesnt and never has run or dominated enough games for us That Said I appreciate his contribution in games but don't hold him in God like status that many of us do

Capitol Man 10:04 Sat Jan 2
Re: Mark "The Skipper" Noble
Not sure anyone afford him "God-like status" but he plays an important role in a side that a lot of people can't seem to understand.

Re: Mark "The Skipper" Noble
Neither do I, Bank. But people don't give him enough credit when he has an excellent game, which he did today.

Kept Fordy off the match thread.
Wins all round.

Re: Mark "The Skipper" Noble
From one of the Noble critics (me) he had a very good game today. He'll always ALWAYS be out of position on occasions throught the match, but when he out does those mistakes with passing, break up play, assisting goals and work rate you cant fault him.

Thought the whole team played very well bar Tomkins who had a pretty bad 1st half but redeemed himself in the 2nd.

Noble had a good game today.

Re: Mark "The Skipper" Noble
He was ok, which means that for many on here he was as good as Trevor Brooking in his prime.

Re: Mark "The Skipper" Noble
Name us someone on here who has ever compared Noble with Brooking in his prime?

Re: Mark "The Skipper" Noble
Gets plenty doesn't he. Easy target.
Deserved digs for Saints game..but ill always stick up for him when he plays well...and did so today.
Especially when you consider he has played throughout the Xmas period.

It's nice to have these threads 4 times a season isn't it.

Re: Mark "The Skipper" Noble
There was a really ugly bloke at the game today, couple of rows in front of our lot, all he did was slag Noble off constantly, talk about he could do better etc.

And when I say ugly, I mean he looked like the bloke from Casino after his head had been in the clamp, then had his face set on fire and put out with a shovel, before someone bit it off, shat it out, and then stitched it back on.

For a while I was convinced it was Fordstar, but then I realised the bloke was at the game
